AVIATION EXPO / CHINA 2009 (13th event)
Civil & Military, including Airport & Air Traffic Control
23-26 September 2009, CIEC, Beijing, P.R. China

China is building up its own commercial aircraft manufacturing industry and is in the middle of a five-year plan to buy 500 jetliners and build 48 airports. New forecasts indicate China’s aircraft demand will grow at an annual rate of 7.5% benefiting from an internal economic boom and double-digit increases in airline passenger numbers.

Aviation Expo/ China has proved to be an important and robust platform for expanding business and networking opportunities in this dynamic market. The organizers and sponsors include nearly all top Chinese aviation authorities and enterprises, major airlines and the Chinese military. Beginning with the 2009 expo, we are honored to introduce the newly founded Commercial Aircraft Industry Corporation of China(COMAC) as a member of the Organizing Committee.

The 2007 Expo successfully drew 176 exhibitors from 22 countries/regions around the world, and in turn attracted over 17,000 trade visitors. The first Beijing International Aviation Summit (BIAS) will be held concurrently with the 2009 Expo so attendees can exchange ideas about the future development of China’s aviation industry and the opportunities and challenges it is facing.
